Jean Lavin – Partner

Jean has built up strong expertise in business news and communications having worked in a wide variety of roles during a 12-year career at Thomson Financial, the information and data company. Most recently she spent six years as a senior journalist at International Financing Review (IFR).

At IFR Jean became one of the most well-known and respected bond market reporters on Wall Street. Jean's journalistic experience spans from breaking news on the wires to writing in-depth analysis of industry trends.

Her professional experience has included consulting, sales and marketing work as well as journalism. Prior to IFR, Jean was a sales and marketing executive at Primark Decision Economics (PDE), an economics and financial consultancy. Before PDE, Jean spent five years at Thomson's Technical Data unit selling financial market data products.

Jean, a U.S. citizen, started her career in equity sales and trading at Brault, Stafford & Co. in New York. She graduated from the State University of New York in New Paltz, NY, where she majored in communications and English.
