Melanie Cheary is an international media messages specialist with extensive knowledge of emerging markets, including the Middle East and Africa. She specializes in helping executives prepare for media interviews and presentations.

Melanie worked as a foreign correspondent and editor for Reuters.

She was based in Johannesburg, Frankfurt, London and Amsterdam during more than a decade with Reuters, covering the minerals and mining sector in Southern Africa, banking in the Benelux and German blue-chip companies and the European Central Bank.

Melanie holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Classics from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. She also has an MBA from Dundee University, Scotland and a teaching diploma. She speaks German and Dutch.
