Helen Lucas Lead Consultant

Helen Lucas is a leadership communication expert at ECD Insight, helping senior executives engage more effectively with their teams, clients and the media.

She has worked for more than 11 years with senior executives and their direct reports within banks, professional services and private equity companies. She designs and delivers coaching programmes in advanced leadership communication, client relationship-building and stakeholder communication.

Helen’s comprehensive understanding of business and finance enables her to quickly grasp the issues and help leaders craft impactful messages. She then helps participants identify and decode non-verbal cues and better control the impressions they create.

In her individual sessions and small-group workshops, Helen makes extensive use of short examples from cinema and television and realistic video-recorded role play to maximise interactivity and sharpen skills. She uses a combination of warmth and wit to encourage participants to raise their game, while steadily building their confidence.

With a background in financial journalism and management, Helen spent three years as U.S. editor of the International Financing Review, before returning to London as a senior editor responsible for fixed income and derivatives coverage.

Helen completed a year-long counselling training with the WPF and is qualified in various psychometric tools. Her B.A. is in English Literature and Drama.

Helen is one of a three-strong leadership team at ECD Insight, making decisions on the firm’s operations, client servicing and long-term strategy.
